Likewise, every map in Insurgency: Sandstorm which liberally wears its Afghanistan/Iraq influences on its sleeves, feels like a real, nail-biting tactical sandbox where endless corners can be peered around and where routes to ingress and egress are painfully substantial. Local Play implies "Local" area network (LAN) which is pointless if it's single player.Though the modes might seem overly familiar to some, it’s really in the nitty gritty of the moment to moment gameplay that Insurgency: Sandstorm truly begins to shine. I'd challenge anyone to find another game which calls Training with Bots "Local Play". Single player vs Bots is labelled "Training with Bots" in CounterStrike.

They are technically using improper terminology.they should be calling it solo play or single player, or even offline play would make more sense, but NOT local play. Either way, has never had anything to do with single player, trust me.I know :-).been doing that for 2 decades now. Local play has always referred to either the server being local to the network which means other machines can still join and play in a MP environmanet or it's also been used by some to describe an in-game hosted listen server.
